Customer Reviews
Should have listened to previous reviews
If you can avoid buying this try to do so. I can't help comparing it to my son's transformers which are really robust and durable. This is so flimsy that I can't believe it has passed any kind of quality control. The advert makes it look so desirable and I felt that I had to buy it despite the poor reviews I had read but the reviews were right! The doors come off incredibly easily and the 'alien orbs' don't shoot out at all - at best they dribble out of the car! It's been very cynically marketed and if you are able to persuade 'young uns' away from it - do!
what a con
Bought action cruiser for my sons 8th birthday. Doors keep falling off, balls don't exactly shoot out the front of the car, as the image on the front portrays them as doing and wings fall off.
This is a toy that kids beg for, adults know deep down that it will not be good value, but buy it any way to make their children happy. The child then discovers, after being bought it, that they should have listened to their parents when they were being talked out of wanting it!!!!!
I can't believe what a let down this is
My son just got this 2 days ago for his 6th birthday. He was so excited about it. Once we got it open and out, I was so disappointed.
The money charged for this is a rip off for the quality, but the thing that upsets me most is the disappointment for my son.
I looked at the instruction sheet to see how it opened out into "battle mode", and opening out the 2 doors made them both fall off
Why on earth are they made like that?!
A lug each end of the bottom of the door that wedges along the bottom of the car - why isn't it a PROPER hinge with a metal rod in it?
Putting the doors back as they were is just as disappointing - not fitting together very well as my son squeezes it hard (as little boys do) to get it back together, which doesn't help
And then there's these silver gun things that are attched to and folded up with the door that are supposed to swivel open and round, to face forward. Well, when you go to move them they come off in ur hand! More poor quality!
So, the doors fall off when he opens it, which he cant put back on, and the doors dont go back closed very easily, so twice he's had to ask for my help
And then the pathethic "shooting"balls.
In all, just like the other reviewers have already said - "Doors keep falling off, balls don't exactly shoot out the front of the car, as the image on the front portrays them as doing and wings fall off."
The whole car is very light, like its made very cheaply with the quality you'd expect from a pound shop toy
Didn't bother unpacking and investigating the powder that it comes with, packed it back up and got a refund whic I used to buy a different Ben 10 toy my son chose.
The idea is good, the car is needed for a good Ben 10 toy collection, so I just hope they bring out a better model soon!
